Sneak Peek progress for my Impossibility Challenge

Yes, I actually started on my huge project that you can read about here! I thought I would go with the sewing first as I thought that might take the longest. So I eyed the vanity and decided what fabric I had in my stash that looked similar to my inspiration vanity......

And I came up with this.........
So that's what I used for the top ruffle, I choose unbleached muslin for the main skirt. After adding a lining to the muslin I sewed velcro onto the inside of the skirt and stapled the other part of the velcro to the vanity table. Here's a pic sewing the velcro on......
Then I used my gathering foot on my sewing machine to ruffle the floral fabric then sewed it to the main skirt.

Here is just a sneak peek of what it looks like velcroed to the vanity.....

I also started painting an old trifold mirror I've had forever to go on top of the vanity.....

Still not completely done with the vanity skirt but I'm getting closer. I need to kick things in to high gear if I'm going to finish everything by the end of the month, whew!

My paint is from Kelly Moore...do you have those paint stores where you are? I *think* Home Depot colorants are similar...
