Inspiration pic found on Pinterest |
My daughter and I finally got around to decorating her main room when you enter her house. She wanted a cottage style look, something along the lines of the pic above found on Pinterest......so we set out to recreate the look. We didn't have all the elements so we just winged it. We decided to add some shutters like the ones in this pic from Pinterest.......

So this is what we ended up with, a perfect mix between the two.........
Shutters, a coffee filter wreath, candles, greenery, a ruffled lampshade and pretty flowers did the trick. |
I love how soft and feminine it looks. The console was a dark brown and painting it white really made the room come alive.
She is very happy with how it turned out so we turned our attention to her mantel area.
We wanted to keep it simple and uncluttered so just a few plants and some candles and we called it done!

All that's left to do is paint her dining table, yes you enter her home right into the dining room, it looks very welcoming and you don't see a TV room right away. We'll be going room by room turning her home into Cottage Style loveliness, and I'll remember to take some before's next time around so stay tuned!

Thanks mom I couldn't do it without you!
ReplyDeleteYou are the best Mom ever and your daughter is lucky to have someone help her with her home decor that has such a good sense of style. The two of you together make a great design team. Love the entry look and the mantle.
