The Sad Little Table

When I was exploring our attic a few weeks ago I ran across a sad little table tucked away in a corner. I knew instantly that I could help it me happy again.
After painting with ASCP here is her debut.

Photo bombed by Semper!

Here's what it looked like before lipstick.

I removed the peeling veneer and patched some dented areas.

It resides in the hallway now, glad to finally be out of the attic!

It's the first time I've used the French Linen ASCP, the legs are painted with Old White. Not sure yet if I'm going to use dark wax, what do you think yes or no?

I'll finish with a pic of my sweet little dog, Semper, with his serious face on. That look means, "I gotta go out and pee Mom". Ok, come on Semp, let's go!

  1. She looks great, Teresa! Hmmm, I like the dark wax on the old white myself so I would probably do the whole table in it.

  2. Teresa,
It looks really good. You re loved her beautifully. I have used the clear wax but never the dark wax. I guess it depends on if you want it to look more aged then I would use the dark wax. It is pretty.

  4. It's so pretty! Love the legs! I love it just the way it is but I think it would look great with dark wax too. I've been redoing stuff like crazy lately! Updating my pieces to go in the new rooms. Have a lovely week.

  6. Oh I bet you had fun knocking around in the attic looking for treasures. I did that last week in my barn...and I'm excited about some of the things I found.
I love your table. I think it looks great!

  8. What a happy looking table. I think I would add the dark wax. It would give the legs their importance too.

  10. That table is gorgeous. I love, love, love chalk paint. I swear it can make anything look beautiful! I love making my own, much more friendly on my wallet. I've never used the dark wax, but I love the clear wax, and I think the table looks perfect as it is, but I'm sure it would also look beautiful with the dark wax as well! Your doggie is adorable! How could you ever resist that face?! LOL. Our next family addition is going to be a goldie, those are my hubby's favorite dogs.
