Minimal Fall Decor

The extent of my Fall/Halloween decor this year is very limited.

With all the moving recently it's all I could muster.

A plump burlap pumpkin.....

And a plump Halloween girl dressed up as a cat.

Nice and simple, the way I like it :)

Favorite Find this Week

In this economy I try to find things to decorate my home that are cheap or free. Spending too much money on items I merely WANT not need is not a good feeling for me.  Now don't get me wrong I love getting things as much as the next person but when I shop around and find a deal, well I feel like I've won the lottery. So when I go to my favorite antique/flea market and find something I love for almost FREE, well it's just a great feeling.
This was the case recently. Usually when I go to scan all the new additions I go through the whole store first, yep I make a day of it lol, then I go through again and pick out what I would really like. On this particular day there wasn't really anything that caught my eye until the very end of my treasure hunt. There it was, it was white, which I love, it was festive, it's the holiday season so that fit, and best of all it was only $2, I couldn't believe my eyes, so I snatched it up before someone else saw it. So here is my almost free find of the week.
A sweet Turkey covered dish.
It looks wonderful with my other table decorations and great against the dark stained table.
So there ya go, almost free decorating, ya gotta love it!

It's Definitely Fall In Alabama

No humidity these days and the nights are dipping into the 50's so it's time to put out the Fall decor!

Welcome cooler weather and less bugs, it's my favorite time of year.
This plant is so striking, it's called Celosia, also known as Rooster Comb in Spain :)

 Fall on the Porch
I found this cute little wheel barrow at the flea market recently and knew exactly what I was going to do with it.

I love the color of this coleus and they're so easy to grow.
The leaves are starting to fall, the chestnuts and pecans are dropping all over the place so life is good.

 Happy Blogging!

Simple (translated cheap) Fall Decor

I needed some Fall color on the shelf of my entertainment center but didn't want to spend a  bloody arm and sawed off leg (a little Halloween humor there). So I bought some of those cute little pumpkins and gourds at the grocery store for $3 and some candy corn and voila! I had Fall color!
