Tiered Trays, How I Decorate With Them

I really like tiered trays, they provide organization and add vertical space to display the things you love.

Here are a few ways that I've used tiered trays in our home.

I really love having lots of plants around, especially inside when it's cold and dreary outside.

The tiered trays give me extra room for more plants in a smaller space, win win.

I like adding little decor items like this sweet wooden sign.

The space between each level is spacious enough to give all the plants plenty of light and room to grow.

At the coffee bar space is at a minimum so having a tiered tray really helps organize all the things we need like, coffee pods, creamer, sugar etc.

This sweet angel lives on a single tier tray in our master bedroom, I really like the added height it brings.

I have risers or trays under all of my lamps, they just look better in my opinion, here's one in our living room area on an iron decorative tray.

I would love to hear if you use tiered trays in your home and how you use them. Thanks for stopping by.....Hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year!

You Can Never Have Too Many Cloches

Along with my obsession with farm animals that I posted about HERE
I've discovered I have an obsession with cloches too!

Wire cloches
Glass cloches
Litte cloches
Big cloches
Cloches to hold dishes
And more dishes
and even toilet tissue :)
Do you love cloches? What type of things do you 'cloche'?

A Little Room Off My Kitchen and Attic Treasures

I have a little room off of the kitchen which has been neglected since I moved in to this 1920's farmhouse. It needs new flooring but I love the wood walls and decided it was time to do something in there.
Here's one corner of the room.

I bought that little chair at an estate sale for $15 five years ago, it came without a seat and I never got around to fixing it. I stuck an old pottery piece filled with old and new yard sticks.

The dish rack was a flea market find. The little blue dishes were found in my father in laws attic. Here's a close up of them. The wood herb boxes are from Antique Farmhouse, there are four to the set and the other two are in the kitchen.
Here's a close up of the pretty blue plates.

I love the little bird, so pretty.

Here's a shot of the ceiling, I so love the wood bead board.

In the other corner I put this little blue table that I painted a few years ago.

It's great storage for cookbooks.

Do you recognize this adorable cow sign? It's from the wonderfully talented
 Kris at Junk Chic Cottage
She was redoing her kitchen and I told her how much I admired it and she GAVE it to me!! Such a sweetie, thanks again Kris. It's now hanging the the little room off the kitchen.

In another corner is my antique Pot Belly Cabinet. The drawers hold  kitchen towels in one side and doggie treats in the other.

While I was in the attic finding the pretty blue bird plates look what else I found.......

A gorgeous old chandelier, but wait......

There wasn't just one beautiful old chandelier, there was TWO!!!
They are so heavy, I just can't believe they were up there the whole time. I don't think they were ever hung up. My father in law traveled all over the world in the Air Force so I have no idea where he got them, but I really love them.

All the crystals are wrapped up and secured, I'll leave them that way til I figure out where I'm going to hang the chandeliers.

Who knows what other treasures lurk up there?

What I picked from Kim's Savvy Southern Style Giveaway and Target Find

A few weeks ago Kim from Savvy Southern Style
had a giveaway from Antique Farmhouse and I WON! I wanted to show you what I picked. It's something that I've had my eye on for a while.....

This gorgeous horse statue.

I love the variations in the color of the cast iron , it makes it look old and antiquey. Love it!

Every self respecting farmhouse either needs a horse statue or the real thing, fortunately I have both!

So I just want to give a shout out to Kim and Antique Farmhouse to say Thank You one more time!

I also wanted to share what I found at Target recently.

It's the little white urns with greenery. They're so fresh looking and reasonably priced at $12 for the large ones, like the one next to my horse and $9 for the small one pictured above. I always add some greenery to each room, it just completes the look in my opinion. See that little glass cloche? I found it in my father in law's attic, it's like a pitcher but it's open on the bottom, so cute. Does anyone know what it is?

BUT WAIT! Before you go I have a surprise!!! Make sure you stop by this coming Wednesday for a SUPER GIVEAWAY, you won't want to miss this one!

Ways to Display Your China

I like to have my pretty china on display not hidden away.
So I'm always on the lookout for finding ways to display it, here are a few of the ways I've come up with.

This simple wood plate holder allows the plates to stand up and displays their pretty flowers. I bought this one but they would be easy to make. I'm going to feature a tutorial next week on how to make one for yourself!

I love cabinets with 'see through' doors. I redid this one using rabbit wire.

Placing dishes in a cloche makes them look special.

I like keeping my linen napkins on display in a wire basket

Plate holders allow you to stack a lot of plates together and they add to the decor.
What ways have you found to display your plates? I'd love to hear!

P.S. I'm back to sewing for the master bedroom, stay tuned for more reveals! Also I won a beautiful pillow cover in an awesome giveaway from 6 Wilson  !!! I'll be showing the pillow in my master reveal!
