My Bucket Faucet Farmhouse Light

As ya'll know I've been attempting to create a cottage farmhouse look starting with my dining room, you can see the beginnings here. I wanted something unique and rustic for a light over my table . So get yourself a couple of buckets, some metal piping, throw in some faucet handles and voila you have yourself a rustic one of a kind light fixture. Previously I had a itsy bitsy globe light over the table that made no statement at all, well it DID make a statement but it wasn't a good one.  Here's the new light.

All it needs is running water for my plants hehe.  It is just the rustic touch I needed in this room.. I think it's  perfect don't you?

I'm still working on getting that mirror over the mantel. I'll be joining the following parties.....

The perfect window table and a new lamp

I've been searching for a small table  to set in front of my living room windows. I didn't want to block the view but it needed to be large enough to handle a lamp, some accessories and a drinking glass. Well I finally found the perfect size at a yard sale for only $30. It was a mahogany type finish which I proceeded to paint my new favorite color of green on the leg and cream on the top. Forgot to take a before but here's the after.

I got the lamp at Hobby Lobby with a 40 percent off coupon. I love the texture that it adds.

It's just the right size for the accessories and still leaves plenty of room for my dog Semper to gaze out at the squirrels. See the smudges on the window from his doggie nose? It's near impossible to keep that window clean lol.

You can see a sneak peek of my curtains from Country Curtains. I love that store, they have such wonderful  quality curtains. I made the burlap runner.
I love the little white parrot on a stand, another Hob Lob purchase.
So that's it for today, working on doing something different to that dining table I posted about here. Have a great day :)
